Pendleton Homes Shooting in South Macon Leaves Man Injured; Investigation Underway, Legal Questions Raised

MACON, Ga. — A man is recovering after a shooting Tuesday evening at Pendleton Homes, a public housing community located on Houston Avenue in South Macon.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched around 6:51 p.m. after reports of shots fired in the area. When officers arrived, they discovered a 20-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency responders transported the victim to a local hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

Authorities have not released details about any potential suspects or what may have led to the shooting. Investigators continue to gather evidence and interview witnesses as part of an ongoing investigation.
