Joshua Walker Identified as Victim at Local Marietta Gas Station
MARIETTA, GA. — A fatal argument at a Marietta gas station on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, has resulted in a felony murder charge against a Savannah man.
Marietta Police responded to a shooting call just before 4 p.m. at the Chevron station located at 1200 Franklin Gateway SE. Upon arrival, officers found 34-year-old Joshua Walker of Dacula dead at the scene.
Investigators determined that an altercation between Walker and 24-year-old Johnathan Bailey escalated to gunfire, fatally wounding Walker. Bailey was taken into custody at the scene.
Police have charged Bailey, a Savannah resident, with felony murder and aggravated assault in connection with Walker’s death. He is currently being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
Authorities indicated that the two men likely knew one another. The deadly incident took place at a location just north of Dobbins Air Reserve Base.
