Woodstock Apartment Shooting Claims Life of 18-Year-Old Matthew Milner

WOODSTOCK, Ga. — An 18-year-old man was killed following a shooting at a Woodstock apartment complex Monday evening, according to police.

The incident occurred at the Riverstock Apartments, located on Arnold Mill Road. Woodstock police said officers responded to the scene just after 5:30 p.m. after receiving a 911 call reporting a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found Matthew Milner, 18, suffering from a gunshot wound. Milner was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The Woodstock Police Department is leading the investigation with assistance from the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Authorities have not released information regarding a suspect, arrests, or whether a firearm has been recovered.
