Victim Found Inside Complex Hallway

Investigators told local media that the young man was discovered in a hallway within the building. Police have not released his identity.
Officials believe the victim and the shooter knew one another, describing the incident as not random.

Capt. Germain Dearlove told Channel 2 Action News that investigators intend to review multiple surveillance cameras positioned throughout the area to pinpoint the person responsible. Police have not provided a suspect description, and the motive remains unclear.

Detectives are working with property management to obtain security footage. City-owned cameras located nearby will also be reviewed as part of the investigation.
Management at the complex has stated they are fully cooperating with law enforcement as the case moves forward.

Violent incidents at residential complexes continue to raise serious questions about security practices and the responsibilities of property owners to maintain safe living environments.

When a shooting occurs at an apartment community or other residential property, critical safety considerations arise:

When a shooting occurs at a business, apartment complex, or public area, key concerns arise regarding property security and negligence.

When shootings occur in areas accessible to the public, important safety questions arise:

  • Did the property owner or management know about prior criminal activity or safety risks near the location?
  • Did the property owner or business management know about potential criminal activity or safety risks on or near the premises?
  • Were there adequate security measures in place, such as surveillance cameras, lighting, or security personnel?

CLARKSTON, Ga. — [UPDATE 11/04/25] — The Clarkston Police Department is investigating a deadly early-morning shooting that left one man dead and another critically injured outside an adult entertainment club on Brockett Road.

Authorities say officers responded to the scene around 3:55 a.m. Saturday after reports of gunfire outside the club located at 1353 Brockett Road near U.S. 78.

A second male victim was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, authorities confirmed.

The DeKalb County Police Department assisted at the scene, though Clarkston Police continue to lead the investigation. As of now, no arrests have been made, and officials have not released suspect descriptions or potential motives.
