Fatal Shooting Near Super Sound Studios in Atlanta Under Investigation

ATLANTA — An investigation is underway after Atlanta police say a man was shot and killed outside a recording studio early Saturday morning, according to authorities.

The incident occurred around 3:17 a.m. when Atlanta officers heard gunshots in the area of Deering Road NW and Northside Drive NW. Officers were then flagged down after reports of a person shot near 588 Trabert Avenue NW.

The address belongs to Super Sound Studios, which is owned by Atlanta rapper and actor T.I., whose real name is Clifford Joseph Harris Jr.

When officers arrived, they found a man who had sustained an apparent gunshot wound, authorities said.

The victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and later died from his injuries. His age and identity have not been released.

Investigators are working to learn what led up to the shooting.

Woodstock Apartment Shooting Claims Life of 18-Year-Old Matthew Milner

WOODSTOCK, Ga. — An 18-year-old man was killed following a shooting at a Woodstock apartment complex Monday evening, according to police.

The incident occurred at the Riverstock Apartments, located on Arnold Mill Road. Woodstock police said officers responded to the scene just after 5:30 p.m. after receiving a 911 call reporting a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found Matthew Milner, 18, suffering from a gunshot wound. Milner was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The Woodstock Police Department is leading the investigation with assistance from the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Authorities have not released information regarding a suspect, arrests, or whether a firearm has been recovered.

Douglas County Bar Shooting Leaves One Dead, Three Others Injured

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. — One person was killed and three others were injured following a shooting at a bar in Douglas County over the weekend, according to authorities.

The shooting occurred at Marlene’s, located off Maxham Road near Thornton Road, close to the Austell city limits. Officials with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the injuries to Channel 2’s Eryn Rogers.

A man who declined to appear on camera told Rogers that his friend, who works as a security guard at the bar, was shot in the leg and is recovering. He also stated that two of the other victims were customers at the establishment.

A nearby business owner told Channel 2 Action News that the owners of Marlene’s are good neighbors but described the incident as frightening. The business owner said he hopes law enforcement will increase its presence in the area.

Authorities have not released information regarding what led up to the shooting, nor have they identified any suspects. Details about the conditions of the three injured victims have not been disclosed.
