Man Killed in Lithonia Pharmacy Parking Lot Shooting
LITHONIA, GA – DeKalb County Police are actively investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on the afternoon of September 21, 2025, leaving an adult male dead in a commercial parking lot.
The deadly incident unfolded shortly after 4:00 p.m. at the Royal Style Pharmacy, located at 6516 Covington Highway. Investigators determined that an altercation began near the intersection of Covington Highway and Wellborn Road, specifically near a Chevron gas station property, before relocating.
According to police and witness statements, the violence escalated when a black, four-door Chevrolet Impala arrived at the pharmacy. A passenger exited the vehicle, discharged a firearm twice at the victim, and immediately fled the area.
Responding officers found the victim in the pharmacy parking lot. The man, whose identity has not yet been released but is believed to be in his late teens or early twenties, was pronounced dead from his injuries.
This violent crime on commercial property has prompted a major DeKalb County investigation. As of this report, police have not publicly identified a suspect in the homicide. Questions regarding premises liability and negligent security may arise concerning the safety of this Lithonia business location.

Shooting Incident at Wrightsville Apartment Complex
On September 26, 2025, a violent incident at the Pine Terrace Apartments in Wrightsville, Georgia, resulted in two shooting victims, one of whom was killed.
Around 4:45 p.m., Johnson County Police responded to reports of gunfire at the apartment complex, located on S Marcus St. Officers discovered two individuals who had been wounded by gunshots. Both victims were quickly transported to a hospital for emergency treatment. Tragically, one of the victims later died from their injuries.
As of this time, the police have not identified or named a suspect in the shooting. The investigation remains active.

Joshua Walker Identified as Victim at Local Marietta Gas Station
MARIETTA, GA. — A fatal argument at a Marietta gas station on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, has resulted in a felony murder charge against a Savannah man.
Marietta Police responded to a shooting call just before 4 p.m. at the Chevron station located at 1200 Franklin Gateway SE. Upon arrival, officers found 34-year-old Joshua Walker of Dacula dead at the scene.
Investigators determined that an altercation between Walker and 24-year-old Johnathan Bailey escalated to gunfire, fatally wounding Walker. Bailey was taken into custody at the scene.
Police have charged Bailey, a Savannah resident, with felony murder and aggravated assault in connection with Walker's death. He is currently being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
Authorities indicated that the two men likely knew one another. The deadly incident took place at a location just north of Dobbins Air Reserve Base.
